This beautifully rustic wall quilt was made as a wall hanging, but can layed flat as a table topper also. The scrappy four patch centers are reminiscent of the practicality our ancestors, who used leftover scraps and even old garments to make their quilts. The pattern is a combination to two old standbys, the four patch and churn & dash.

The fabrics are all quality cotton, civil war reproduction prints. I used freemotion machine quilting in an all over pattern. (hand guided, not computer controlled) The outer border is a deep navy blue (not black, which is hard to show in the photos).

The size is 27 inches square (39 cm).
